Forest Pests Control Services
Forests, which are extremely important for human beings, are under the threat of many living and lifeless factors. Rapid population growth, industrialization, urbanization and consumption habits in our world increase the pressure on our natural resources. In our country forests, and insect damages have an important place in biotic (fire, improper utilization, illegal cutting, grazing, settlement, pollution, insect, fungus, mistletoe, mouse etc.) and abiotic (wind, storm, snow, full, lightning, high and low temperature) factors.
It is known that around 50 kinds of pests and their harmful effects damage our forests.
According to recent scientific researches, it has been determined that world lose an area of about 9 million hectares of forests per year. Apart from human interventions, harmful insects are the leading cause of this. Insects can destroy forests in a short period of time because their reproductive energy is too high. Insects do not have any limits. There are also harmful insects from neighboring countries. For this reason, controlling these nsects at the national level is not enough.
There are many factors that damage our forests. At the beginning of these, forest fires are the first to come to mind. In fact, insect damages are at the forefront. Annual damage to forests by insects is 5-6 times more harmpful than damage by forest fires. As insect damage (smokeless fire) is not as serious as the forest fires in the whole area and as it does not cause rapid destruction, and it is not drawn the attention of media and the public makes it less important.
